Graduated from University Malaya in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics (Analytical Economics major), Mr. Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim bin Sikh Abdul Majid started his career with MIDA in August 1996.

He has served MIDA for 25 years in various capacities and functions which include investment promotion, project evaluation and industrial development in MIDA headquarters and overseas offices in the USA, Japan and Singapore.

He has been promoted to the Executive Director, Manufacturing Development (Non Resource) position since February 2021 to undertake a leadership role for MIDA’s electronics, machinery and metal, transportation and building technologies divisions.

Then in November 2021, he has been promoted to Executive Director, Investment Promotion position. His main task is to oversee MIDA’s domestic and foreign investment promotion initiatives.

He is now, since 1 November 2022, promoted to the position of Senior Executive Director, Investment Policy Advocacy for the Manufacturing and Services sectors.
