“Thank you, everyone, for spending the last two days with us at this year’s Annual Meeting,” said Mr. Simonelli, making sure to shine a spotlight on the people behind the scenes who rose to the challenge of creating a very dynamic virtual event.

With more than 40 leading speakers from across industries, he said “I appreciated how everyone was candid, provocative, and willing to dig into the tough issues we are facing today.”

Mr. Simonelli hoped everyone left the event with greater insights, and an accelerated commitment to the energy transition.

“It’s even clearer to me now that change presents a tremendous opportunity, and we play a critical role in the quest for net zero. As I said yesterday, how we get there, it’s up to us. It truly is up to us. We are the drivers of the future the world wants. Let’s make 2021 our year to accelerate into the energy transition. Let’s make it a year not just focused on recovery from 2020, but a year we remember as the start of a new energy landscape for decades to come.”
