In 2023, we announced the availability of Cordant, a suite of solutions to help customers in energy and other asset-intensive industries to optimize their operations, reduce costs and increase production.
Today, we are excited to announce the evolution of Cordant and general availability of Asset Performance Management (APM) 3.0 and Process Optimization 1.0. With these solutions, customers will be able to achieve a more seamless view of their operations and prioritize actions for an optimal balance of cost, risk, and performance.
Greater connection across previously siloed functions and apps
Asset Performance Management (APM) 3.0
Many organizations in asset-intensive industries like oil and gas, mining, and manufacturing have separate processes, systems, and teams across functions like asset strategy, condition monitoring, and work management. The challenge is that they have had no way to connect these functions to get a true overarching view of their operations.
So, while organizations are under constant pressure to optimize operations and balance performance, cost, and risk they lack the actionable insights they need to prioritize, make decisions and drive continuous improvement.
APM 3.0 helps solve this challenge by providing greater connection and interoperability between applications supporting asset health, strategy, and defect elimination. This provides insights and enables workflow to help users make faster decisions.
Specific enhancements delivered by APM 3.0 include:
- Increased visibility of risk to support improved prioritization enabled by new Insight Dashboard
- Improved navigation between domains and across multiple levels of granularity supported by harmonized asset hierarchy
- Improved search, common preferences and easier access to user help supported by new unified experience
Cordant APM 3.0 also includes the following enhancements to the three distinct capabilities within the solution: Asset Health, Asset Strategy, and Asset Defect Elimination.
- Asset Health now provides a seamless, collaborative workflow from predictive fleet surveillance to root cause diagnostics and mitigation management, supported by features such as native case management, work execution platform integration, AI/ML driven anomaly detection, enhanced first-line analysis and contextual interactions with System 1 condition monitoring platform.
- Asset Strategy now offers improved opportunity analysis, helping customers take action to reduce maintenance spend and optimize resources. Additional new features help to justify and prioritize investments in monitoring, increase transparency of risk, and support management of both integrity and emission risk.
- Asset Defect Elimination now has multiple deployment options to better meet the needs of each customer. These include deployment as part of Cordant APM, standalone deployment as an enterprise solution, and standalone deployment for single-users.

AI-driven process solution to optimize site-wide production, energy efficiency and increase margins
Process Optimization 1.0
Plant operators across industries are constantly striving to keep up with production, yield, and efficiency targets with a myriad of process automation and optimization solutions. However, traditional process automation and optimization solutions are limited in their ability to deal with complex operations and non-linear production profile. Moreover, the dynamic nature of industrial processes and continuously changing external factors and economics make it difficult for operators to identify and close the production gap and thereby maximize margins.
Cordant Process Optimization 1.0 serves as a co-pilot to plant operators, addressing these challenges by leveraging a unique combination of data-driven process modeling, process domain expertise, AI and advanced optimization techniques, the solution calculates and provides optimal setpoint recommendations in near real-time. Applying these recommendations, plant operators can improve site-wide production, yield, and energy efficiency and, ultimately, increase margins.
Process Optimization 1.0 also includes the following capabilities:
- Data-driven, end-to-end modeling of actual production and monitoring of model performance, with real-time optimization framework. There are also pre-built templates and models for specific industrial processes.
- Real-time tracking of the gap-to-potential performance supported by real-time operator interface, enabling operators to take immediate action.
- What if analysis and scenario planning supported by simulation engineering interface, so process engineers may validate, test, and try models before moving to production.
