The venue
The Apuane Learning Center (ALC) is a Baker Hughes training and conference center opened in 2024, located within the Massa site.
The ALC takes its name from the Apuan Alps, the Tuscany mountain range that serves as the inspiring backdrop for the new center. Its 800 m2 include conference rooms, a networking area, and an Agorà—with a total capacity of up to 140 participants in an environment that combines high-tech functionality with comfortable design.
The facility hosts conferences and training courses serving both Baker Hughes employees and those of other companies and organizations. Immersed in a cutting-edge industrial setting, it gives local associations, schools, and universities the opportunity to hold their own events.
Baker Hughes is an energy technology company that develops and manufactures innovative solutions that are exported worldwide. Massa includes five Centers of Excellence for advanced production and testing of our energy technologies.
Services
The ALC offers a variety of services, enabling various types of events:

Catering
Several catering services are available, which can be customized as needed for breakfasts, buffet lunches, and cocktails—served in either the networking area or meeting rooms.
Meeting rooms
The center has six conference rooms with a flexible set-up and all the technology needed for hybrid (in-person and remote) events and meetings, including directional video cameras with face tracking and ambient microphones. Large screens (from 85" to 98") and wi-fi connections are available in all rooms.
Thanks to the retractable partition system, the three largest classrooms can be combined to accommodate up to 140 seated people. Through audio-video interconnection, the rooms can be used independently or synchronously, increasing layout flexibility and enabling different types of events.

Agorà
The ALC has a common space ("Agorà") that can host up to 60 people in a comfortable, informal setting equipped with high-definition video projector, remote connection, and click-share technology for local and remote sharing of HD audio-video content.
With its innovative design and wooden staircase, the Agorà is the perfect space for networking, informal meetings, and training sessions.
Other spaces
The center offers small soundproof "phonebooth" spaces for individuals to make private calls or work in total silence and relaxation.
Conversely, meeting rooms with MS Teams technology, directional cameras, and environmental microphones enable small hybrid meetings.

How to arrive
The Apuance Learning Center is inside the Baker Hughes Massa site, just 1.5 km from the Massa toll booth exit (A12 highway).
Bus
The Obelisco-Massa bus stop is just 100 meters from the plant entrance, and connects by line L61 to the Massa Centro railway station.
