Baker Hughes Expands Collaboration with Microsoft to Accelerate Energy and Industrial Transformation through Cordant™

FLORENCE, ITALYFeb. 02, 2025 – Baker Hughes, an energy technology company announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Microsoft to extend their long-standing collaboration, which will focus on accelerating the development and adoption of Baker Hughes Cordant™ suite of solutions, designed to optimize asset performance and enhance operational efficiency and energy efficiency across energy and industrial sectors. 

Under the MOU, Baker Hughes and Microsoft will deepen their technical integration, align product development pipelines, and jointly deliver innovative solutions that use the full potential of Cordant™ and Microsoft Azure. This collaboration will create new value for customers by enabling advanced digital capabilities, seamless scalability, and enhanced flexibility in addressing the dynamic requirements of the energy and industrial markets.

Key elements of the expanded collaboration include:

  • Technical integration: Cordant™ solutions built with Azure AI Foundry to support the energy and industrial sectors by optimizing operations, improving predictive maintenance, enhancing safety, promoting energy efficiency, and driving innovation and growth.
  • Product development: the companies will align their product pipelines to ensure that Cordant™ continuously evolves with Azure’s innovations, offering customers cutting-edge technologies that meet their current and future needs.
  • Joint delivery: Baker Hughes and Microsoft will align on comprehensive go-to-market strategies, expanding efforts to support customer adoption and success.
  • Joint sales and marketing: Cordant™ solutions will be available in Azure Marketplace, enabling streamlined access for customers.
