Overview

Overview

The Baker Hughes Training Academy (TA) for turbomachinery equipment was created in 2008, with the aim of providing Field Specialists and Field Supervisors with the necessary competencies and skills to execute projects at customer sites to the industry's highest HSE and quality standards.

Our new, enlarged facility occupies approximately 5,000 m2 —equivalent to 8 international tennis courts. Since 2008, we've trained more than 20,000 participants through over 1 million hours of classroom and hands-on courses.

Continually evolving, engaging and improving

By leveraging our extensive range of real turbomachinery units and control panels, and employing leading-edge educational technology such as virtual reality and interactive smart boards - we enable our entire population of Field Specialists and Field Supervisors to achieve the necessary expertise to properly support our customers through their most challenging projects—from installation, to service, and troubleshooting.

Dedicated training paths

Dedicated training paths

Thanks to a unique field-competency model, each Field Specialist and Supervisor is assigned a dedicated training path that allows them, along with new hires and experts, to achieve the technical certifications necessary to operate on customer sites, respecting all relevant safety and quality requirements.

Technical Training Academy Evolving

Ensuring company-wide consistency

The TA also trains employees from various Baker Hughes functions who also require specific technical training on turbomachinery equipment and control systems.
