With improved inspection image quality compared to traditional flexible borescopes, the 2.2 mm 2-way probe is the first in our series of sub-3.0 mm diameter interchangeable probes.
The new 3.0mm 4-way articulation probe offers USB connectivity with your video borescope's system, providing a cost-effective solution that brings you into the world of small-diameter video borescopy.
Applications
Low Pressure Turbine Inspections
Small diameter probes are more nimble, and can pass through tighter, trickier areas larger probes would struggle with like the outer air ducts inside a CFM56 engine. During low pressure turbines inspection, the 3.0mm 4-way articulation probe easily maneuvers inside the outer air ducts, allowing you to see whether they are properly cooling the low pressure turbine or if they have been damaged. To help it fit between the upper platform and lower supper area, the 3.0mm USB probe has a camera head length of only 0.8cm so it steers through deeper inside the stage one low pressure turbine.
The 2.2mm and 3mm diameter probes can be interchanged easily with other video borescope system probes, making our system the first in the industry to offer true small probe interchangeability.
Like all of our video borescopes’ interchangeable probes, if damage occurs, repair or replace only the damaged probe—a much more cost-effective solution than repairing or replacing an entire fixed probe system.
With our new small diameter probes, you get all of the high-end features you expect from your VideoProbe system, including: – Menu Directed Inspection (MDI) for increased productivity during and after the inspection—with smart data tagging and automatic report generation – InspectionWorks Connect for remote view and control capability from a tablet.
